Help us celebrate 10 years of service to the communities of University Park Branch Library and Pablo Creek Regional Library. Now a decade since the libraries opened their doors, we invite everyone to meet their neighbors, library staff and elected officials.
University Park Branch Library will host an Open House Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., with the main event at noon. Learn about available services in the area from various community group representatives who will be attending the Open House. Meet State Sen. Audrey Gibson, State Rep. Reggie Fullwood, Jacksonville City Council President Clay Yarborough, Council Members John Crescimbeni and Bill Bishop, and Board of Library Trustee member Dr. Brenda Simmons-Hutchins. Pablo Creek Regional Library will kick off four days of river-themed events starting Saturday, Oct. 4 with a grand finale celebration Thursday, Oct. 9, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Then at 3 p.m. we will welcome St. Johns Riverkeeper Executive Director Jimmy Orth who will speak about preserving the river and area waterways that have been so influential in the area served by the library.
