Tuesday, Dec. 2 @ 7 p.m. “Winter Gifts” with the Heritage Singers of Jacksonville

Music_presentThe Heritage Singers of Jacksonville are dedicated to fostering a sense of community through high quality choral music. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Michael Dell, the Singers will share a multicultural choral offering extolling blessings exemplified through the material and intangible gifts that abound each December.

 

Sunday, Dec. 14 @ 3 p.m. “Holiday Excursion” with Gary Smart & Friends

Gary Smart PianoJoin UNF’s Gary Smart (piano) for a musical afternoon of Yuletide cheer combining classical, jazz and Dixieland influences. Among the faculty artists joining Dr. Smart are Marilyn Smart (soprano), Dr. Bill Prince (trumpet), J.B. Scott (trumpet), Dave Steinmeyer (trombone) and Dr. Marc Dickman (tuba), as well as award-winning student clarinetist Brandon F. Mosley.

Tuesday, Dec. 16 @ 7 p.m. “Seasonal Fare” with the Ancient City Brass Band

Ancient City Brass BandThe Ancient City Brass Band is an ensemble of First Coast musicians spearheaded by retired Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet Cliff Newton and retired JU Professor and former J-Sym bassist William McNeiland (euphonium). The group will perform brass settings ranging from traditional Christmas carols to modern holiday songs, with UNF Professor Emeritus Dr. Bill Prince joining as trumpet soloist for several selections.

Music @ Main concerts are free and open to the public; reservations are not required.
