The stage has been set, the gauntlet thrown and we want to see you rise to the occasion! It’s summertime and our theme is Build a Better World. We have a lot of programs at your local library for kids and adults to celebrate the summer, but we have a special challenge for you, a Kindness Challenge.
You must be the change you want to see in the world.” – Gandhi
Highlands Branch is hosting the Wall of Kindness where you can pick your own challenge. You’ll find a board in the children’s department covered with envelopes; inside each envelope is an act of kindness. This challenge is for all, or as we say, “big, little and in the middle!” You’ll find challenges like “plant something,” or, “make a ‘Get Well’ card for someone.” Once you complete your challenge we want you to share it with us!
Document your progress as you complete the challenges then share these photos or videos with us via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and tag them with #JPLKindnessChallenge.
If you can’t come by to pick up an act of kindness, come up with your own and be sure to tag it #JPLKindnessChallenge. These photos will be shared with everyone during the Summer Reading Closing Party at 3:00 p.m. on August 1, so get them in before July 24! We can’t wait to see how you spread the kindness!
