This holiday season you can be a part of something bigger! On Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, join the entire world and participate in #GivingTuesday by giving to the Jacksonville Public Library!

Your award-winning library makes a difference in the lives of so many Jacksonville residents. Our library serves more than 3 million visitors every year. In fact, every 68 seconds someone walks through the doors of the library. But the library is more than just books! It is an adult education center, an early learning and literacy center, a technology hub, and so much more. But above all it is a place where every person has an equal opportunity to propel themselves into a better future. Our library bridges the gap for those who don’t have easy access to technology, education, and information. You can be a part of that bridge by supporting the Library. It’s super easy! To participate go online to www.givejpl.org, select your donation level, and give! Then share your donation on social media and with the tag #GiveJPL #GivingTuesday!

But wait, there is more…THE AMAZON OPTION! For all who participate in online shopping, we are excited to say that you can be involved in donating to the library – at no cost to you! Amazon will donate a portion of the profits on every qualified purchase to us! You shop and Amazon donates! Now that’s what we call a deal!

Here is how you participate in Amazon Smile so that the library benefits:

Step 1. Log on to smile.amazon.com. Log in with your normal Amazon username and password.

Step 2. Select Jacksonville Public Library Foundation as your charity.

Step 3. Shop away!

Step 4. Amazon donates!! It doesn’t get any easier than that! The best part is that this Amazon Smile is year round! Every dollar we raise matters to our incredible library.

You are making a difference in making sure that valuable library programs continue, and we can’t thank you enough.

Happy holidays from our family to yours!
