Calling All Authors

Hey authors, are you looking to participate in the literary event of the year? Check out the Jax Book Fest at the Main Library on Saturday, March 3, 2018. It’s the best chance for readers to meet and mingle with best-selling and local authors, purchase books, attend workshops and favorite genres.

The Jax Book Fest is an annual celebration of the written word, with a focus on authors living in/near Jacksonville, Florida. This event features presentations and signings by authors of both national and local acclaim, book sales, children’s activities, and more.

Writing takes a lot of effort and we want to celebrate your accomplishments! Sign up for a table to market and sell your work before November 30th.

Find out who is eligible to apply below:

Application rules and regulation can be found here.

  1. The author’s work fits within the Jacksonville Public Library’s (JPL) Collection Development Policy.
  2. Preference will be given to authors living in Northeast Florida.
  3. The author must be actively writing/publishing, with the most recent work published within the last 10 years.
  4. Must be prepared to supply proof of professional editing.
  5. Must be prepared to show demand for work and illustrated knowledge of the audience.
  6. Two authors sharing a table must both meet the criteria above.

It is our goal to highlight the best authors that Florida has to offer. We review hundreds of application and select only the authors that meet and exceed our standards. Bring your best work and take a chance at participating in the literary event of the year!
