What makes a good library great? Private support.
Enhanced programs, services, collections, and more are possible through the generous donations and support of the Jacksonville community. Private gifts through corporate sponsors, individual members of the Golden Book Society, or other support make the JPL a great resource for the community – open to all.
Donate. Donate to the Jacksonville Public Library Foundation. The Foundation was created in 1986 to support the JPL with enhanced resources. Your gifts to the Foundation provide the funding necessary for the advancement of essential JPL programs that enhance the quality of life for our community – like Summer Learning, Adult Education, Technology Resources, Library Collections, and others.
All donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. The Foundation is a private non-profit 501(c)3 whose mission is to strengthen the ability of the JPL to serve as an educational and cultural resource for our community, and promote the use of library resources, enthusiasm for reading, and increased literacy for all Jacksonville residents.
Advocate. Ask local leaders and state lawmakers to continue local funding and to continue State Aid to Libraries. Without it, Duval County would lose more than $1 million in both state and federal aid. Our literacy programs, funds to purchase books, materials, furniture, and equipment would all be greatly reduced. Speak your mind and advocate for your public library.
